Well, it all started with my name Donavin.

My parents wanted to name me something different yet unique. So they decided to take the names Gordon and Vincent, of my grandfather and nono, and fuse them to create an entirely new name Donavin.

 In my mind it's technically Don.A.Vin so why not use my unique name and make it stand for something more and that's when I decided to use Don.A.Vin Apparel as my brand name.

Humble Beginnings.......

Growing up in a house where both your parents are in the fashion industry has set my life off to an interesting start. Running their own business as entrepreneurs they were always kept busy with orders, clients or designing. My parents were kept quite busy most of the time, which was fine because it gave my brothers and I the opportunity to be children and enjoy ourselves. I've only recently realized how fortunate I was to have the upbringing I had. As many people don't have access to custom made clothes that fit and clothes of good quality too. Only when I started making my own clothes, I began to recognize my passion for apparel and how much I enjoyed working with it. When I started Don.A.Vin Apparel it wasn't just as a creative outlet, it was also a way for me to give people authentic South African apparel with good quality and at an affordable price.
